Bakit Siya Meron? Bakit Ako Wala? (Why Does He Have Those And I Have None?) tells the story of two young boys, Menandro and Ricardo.

Menandro is a sampaguita vendor selling outside the church during Simbang Gabi. He comes from a poor family and lives a simple life. He wishes to buy food for his family for Noche Buena and to earn extra to be able to give them gifts. He then meets Ricardo, a rich boy who accompanied his grandmother to Simbang Gabi. Seeing how lavish Ricardo’s life is, Menandro wonders why some people have all those material things and why he does not have them.

This is a story of friendship, family and contentment. Set at the start of Simbang Gabi, the story depicts the colorful Filipino tradition of Christmas. It sends out a beautiful message perfect for Christmas, encouraging each one to observe such generosity of spirit throughout the year.
